GENERAL SUMMARY

The Pricing Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring DeZURIK's pricing strategy and pricing mechanics are aligned with business objectives and profitability goals. This role will be responsible for analyzing pricing data, managing price changes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting strategic pricing decisions across the organization. The Pricing Analyst will provide insights and recommendations to optimize pricing structures and drive margin improvement.

This position is currently eligible for DeZURIK's hybrid work schedule.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Update and create component prices in NetSuite to meet targeted product pricing objectives, as directed by product managers.
  • Review pricing for components and BOMs as part of the engineering product change process, ensuring alignment between product BOM updates and pricing strategy Conduct pricing and margin analysis to evaluate the impact of pricing actions across business units (Bus).
  • Act as the pricing analytics expert in governance meetings, providing analytical insights on the potential impact of pricing recommendations to leadership.
  • Facilitate annual or semi-annual pricing actions, coordinating with all necessary cross-functional groups, including BU sales leadership to ensure alignment with market expectations.
  • Manage and update discount and commission schedules, including rep automation pricing, ensuring timely distribution of final schedules and proactive communication with stakeholders.
  • Analyze price-to-cost ratios by product line to ensure margin goal achievement and identify cost-saving opportunities for product managers and BU leaders.
  • Collaborate with Application Engineers on engineered-to-order pricing, updating NetSuite as needed, to ensure accurate gross margin data for project quotations.
  • Work with product managers to ensure accurate pricing for new product launches, including cost analysis for Phase Gate projects.
  • Organize, review and maintain internal price sheets and cost to list price ratios.
  • Analyze costs associated with components, materials, and production processes, working closely with manufacturing teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations for cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure that pricing methodology for acquisitions aligns with DeZURIK's approach.
  • Effectively present complex pricing and analytical concepts to management in a clear, concise manner, ensuring key insights are communicated within a short timeframe enabling quick decision-making.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two years prior experience in pricing required.
  • Experience in the valve industry is a benefit, but not required.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in pricing systems (e.g., NetSuite, ERP software), and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Domo, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, and above-average working knowledge of company operations and policies.
  • Detail-oriented and organized in approach to managing several projects simultaneously.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-oriented approach.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Physical demands are typical of an office position including extended periods of sitting, and extensive use of a personal computer and telephone.
  • Position requires movement around the facilities.
  • Occasional handling of material and components.


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.
