This opportunity is in Junction City, KS Ag Track facility, located between Salina and Manhattan in the heart of Northeastern, KS. THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting directly to the Responsible Supply Chain Activities Manager (RSA), the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will assume a pivotal role in strategizing, directing, and coordinating a spectrum of operational activities across multiple areas of operation. This crucial position bears the primary responsibility for ensuring the quality and productivity standards of all personnel under their supervision. Moreover, the Supervisor will play a key role in fostering a culture of safety and quality, diligently working to achieve and exceed safety and quality objectives.

WHAT WILL YOU DO

  • Lead and motivate a team of logistics coordinators and drivers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing logistics operations, including safety regulations, transportation laws, and environmental requirements.
  • Develop and uphold KPIs for multiple sections within area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow supervisors to ensure material and product is effectively managed throughout the facility.
  • Effectively manage daily assignments to ensure the smooth execution of plans and tasks.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within the workplace, in alignment with company policies and regulations.
  • Actively contribute to identifying and implementing cost-saving measures and efficiency enhancements.

WHAT WILL YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related experience in field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in logistics or transportation management.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
