The Role

The Enterprise Field Manager at Lumen is accountable for the delivery of customer and network equipment, services, and products, ensuring service assurance and the protection of fiber assets. This role requires driving positive outcomes through independent management of a high-performing team, overseeing facilities, as well as OSP and ISP networks. The manager is responsible for collaborating with other organizations and customers to achieve these goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a sense of responsibility, and the ability to reinforce a positive culture within the team. Active support of the community to strengthen Lumen's brand is also a key component of this role. The position reports directly to the Director of Enterprise Field Operations.

Location and Schedule
  • Its primary location is Memphis, TN overseeing remote teams in Arkansas, and Northern Louisiana.
  • Regular hours are Monday through Friday (8:00 am to 5:00 pm CDT/CST), Managers are expected to be available after hours in the event of an emergency.
  • Execution of the role will require after-hours support, and on-call as needed.
The Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a high-performing team to achieve positive outcomes; provide leadership and motivate the team.
  • Build and maintain a positive culture through teamwork, trust, and transparency.
  • Oversee ISP/OSP plant equipment, customer and network equipment, and circuit installations, ensuring quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal organizations and teams to ensure activation, testing, design, facilities, engineering, planning, and NOC tasks are performed to the highest standards for exceptional customer experience.
  • Establish goals and metrics to drive efficiency and positive outcomes; set and monitor performance objectives and coach the team for positive results.
  • Use metrics to analyze and identify process improvements and efficiencies.
  • Manage employees, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely completion of work and financial responsibility.
  • Handle budget management, time reporting, invoices, and expenses.
  • Drive compliance with standards, policies, and processes.
  • Grow and develop the team to support current products and business needs, preparing them for future challenges.
  • Participate and lead in special projects and other duties as assigned.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience, with typically 5-7 years related experience and 2+ years of previous manager-level leadership experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude with a growth mindset; calm under stress and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive individual who focuses on opportunities, improvement, and efficiencies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to deliver presentations to executive levels; strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Financial acumen with the ability to manage Capital and Expense budgets.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and demands while dealing with competing priorities and making informed decisions.
  • Ability to commit and hold the team accountable to meet corporate goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills, including coaching for improvement and to meet objectives and goals; ability to establish and enact Strategic and Tactical plans.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams) and able to use AI to improve efficiencies.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to travel to support customers, network, and team needs.
  • Must be available 24/7 to support team and network emergencies.
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$103,711 - $138,281 in these states: TN
