Analytics Engineer - SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

We are seeking an experienced SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Analytics Engineer to join the Corporate Data & Analytics team.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based analytics solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP HANA. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders, to understand their requirements and develop robust, scalable, and cost-effective analytics solutions within the SAP ecosystem.

• Design and implement analytics solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP HANA, including SAP HANA Calculation Views, CDS Views, and SAC data modeling for optimized data reporting and visualization
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from various SAP and non-SAP sources into SAP HANA and SAC to support business intelligence and analytics needs
• Build and integrate predictive models within SAP Analytics Cloud, utilizing Smart Predict and other advanced SAC features to deliver actionable insights
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions within SAP Analytics Cloud, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
• Implement data governance, data quality, and data security best practices in SAC and SAP HANA, adhering to SAP's data management and compliance standards
• Optimize analytics solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging SAP HANA's in-memory capabilities and SAC's cloud-native design
• Automate and orchestrate analytics workflows using SAC scheduling and data integration tools, ensuring seamless data refresh and reliable data access for users
• Monitor and troubleshoot analytics pipelines and solutions within SAC and HANA, ensuring high availability, data accuracy, and reliability for end users
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP analytics technologies and practices in SAP Analytics Cloud and SAP HANA, continuously improving and refining analytics solutions to meet evolving business needs

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in developing analytics solutions, with experience using SAP HANA Enterprise Edition and related tools (e.g. SAP HANA Studio, WebIDE)
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and other data programming languages
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, data integration, and data modelling concepts
• Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark and distributed computing frameworks
• Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
• Knowledge of cloud computing principles, including scalability, availability, and cost optimization
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• US Citizenship is required
• Up to 10% travel

• SAP HANA Certifications (e.g. SAP Certified Development Specialist - SAP HANA 2.0 or equivalent)
• Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools, with a focus on SAP-centric environments (e.g. SAP CI/CD Pipelines, Git)
• Familiarity with corporate ERP systems, i.e. Oracle and SAP.
• Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members
