Description

  • Implement, and maintain a comprehensive reliability improvement program.




    • Monitor critical equipment and assist in the development and implementation of Preventive Maintenance programs.
    • Implement the vibration monitoring program to include data collection, analysis and interpretation of data, and implementation of corrective actions.
    • Demonstrate improvement of equipment availability through Reliability KPIs.




  • Support the non-destructive inspection program which includes planned scheduled equipment inspections.




    • Implement the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program.
    • Evaluate adequacy of plant inspection and testing programs to ensure integrity and availability of mechanical components and systems.
    • Ensure the inspection database is accurate, and documentation is complete.


  • Perform root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on equipment component and system failures, develop and recommend corrective action proposals.


    • Perform all necessary analysis, conduct all necessary investigations involving vendors and subject matter specialists as needed to identify failure modes, and classify all findings.
    • Gather and classify all data and information pertaining to equipment component and system failures and failure frequencies.
    • Develop and implement action plans to eliminate identified failure modes, including but not limited to modifications and changes to:

      • equipment component and system specifications and standards,
      • inspection, reconditioning, and repair procedures, and
      • technician training documents and programs.




  • Advise and assist on-site mechanical technicians, planners and maintenance supervisors on modifications and improvements of maintenance re-conditioning and repair procedures and practices.

    • Provide technical expertise in regard to job plan development, equipment critical path, job scopes, troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.
    • Define and approve repairs to service equipment, per RAGAGEPs, potentially including audit and evaluation of contracted repair organizations, and inspection of repair work
    • Update equipment records, determine required spare parts, and maintain accurate SAP Bill of Materials.


  • Participate as a technical adviser on maintenance outages and minor improvement projects,

    • Assist maintenance planning in outage preparation.
    • Ensure specifications and standards are followed for plant modifications and minor improvement projects.
    • Review and approve specifications of new equipment.
    • Participate in pre-start-up safety reviews, and assist in punch listing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of all plant modifications and minor improvement projects.


  • Be on call to provide technical support when needed.

Education
Bachelors of Engineering (required)
Experience
3 - 7 years: Engineering in an industrial plant environment. (required)
