As a Principal Project Manager within the Americas ESS - Asset Management & Analysis Group, you will support the design and analysis of operating plant NSSS modifications and support operating plants. You will also be responsible for all project management processes for moderate to high complexity projects or a portfolio of lower complexity projects. You will report to the Project Portfolio Manager Asset Management and Analysis and report to our Cranberry location on a hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of cost estimates and offers for operating plants support and modifications. Guide customer negotiations
- Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project management plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines as well as, risk and registers per the Westinghouse Project Management Requirements (WPMR).
- Based on project management plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members to complete the work.
- Manage and integrate all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, and communications. Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to teams following an integrated change management process.
- Coordinate project communications ensuring team, customer, and all partners are kept informed of status.
- Develop or oversee project records in standard databases and procedures to ensure efficient handling and transmission of project correspondence and documentation internally and externally.
- Implement improvement or recovery opportunities to promote successful project delivery.
- Use and support Westinghouse project management systems and controls for multiple projects assuring senior management is provided up-to-date and accurate reports of each project status.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience as project manager in a technical industry such as engineering, manufacturing, nuclear or construction industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as project manager leading and directing low to moderate complexity projects to successful completion (3 years of project management and 2 years of experience in a technical leadership role may be considered)
- Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, business, or related technical discipline required. Advanced degree in project management, engineering, construction or business preferred.
- Experience with SAP, Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint, and Active Risk Manager.
