Summary:
Responsible for properly hand soldering and/or using solder machines to locate components onto electronic assemblies.

Responsibilities:
* Prints Dispatch List and determine which product takes priority based on the defined production guidelines
* Obtains appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment and verify the paperwork has the correct effective date
* Obtains and verify parts and materials from kits for current job assignment
* Hand solders electronic components on boards per documented instructions and schematic drawings, inspects solder connections and clips excess leads as needed
* Performs solder potting activities and dispose of contaminated materials per procedure and documented instructions
* Routes completed boards to the next facility for operation per manufacturing order
* Performs wire add operations when required
* Scans completed boards into PFS system
* Performs "Report Operations Complete" Transactions in automated computer system
* Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under minimal supervision
* Performs record keeping and complete paperwork associated with job assignments
* Maintains a clean work area and follow all safety and ESD practices
* Performs data entry for labor and work in progress (WIP) tracking
* Reports daily throughput quantities to the Team Leader
* All employees are responsible for the Quality of their work to ensure BEI meets or exceeds Customer Satisfaction.

Other information:
* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
* Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions
* Basic computer knowledge
* Ability to successfully complete General Production Procedures Training
* Ability to successfully complete hand solder Certification requirements
* Ability to read and understand schematic drawings, process and manufacturing instructions
* Demonstrate strong component recognition skills
* Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
* Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work overtime as needed
* Ability to cross-train to operate the varied solder equipment
* Ability to read and understand process instructions, schematic drawings and manufacturing routings
* Ability to work both independently and in a team setting
* Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills
* Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal
* Demonstrate strong component recognition skills
* Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work overtime as needed
