Limited-Term Instructor of PSYCHOLOGY

The Department of Cultural and Behavioral Sciences is home to multiple academic and applied disciplines including psychology, sociology, anthropology, geography, education, social work, criminal justice, and homeland security. Limited-term instructor positions are non-tenure track, term-to-term appointments.
Depending on need, they are renewable by the department for up to three additional semesters.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Providing 18 semester hours of instruction per semester.
Maintaining at least 8 office hours per week.
Working effectively, collaboratively, and professionally with faculty, staff, and students.
Connecting students with institutional resources to promote student success and progression.

Teaching experience required.

A minimum of a Master's degree in Psychology (completed by the date of appointment) or a minimum of a Master's degree with at least 18 semester or 27 quarter graduate hours in relevant coursework (completed by the anticipated date of appointment) is required.

Experience teaching a variety of undergraduate level Psychology courses;
Prior online teaching experience.

* Ability to teach Psychology courses on the collegiate level.
* Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods.
* Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning.

* Effective oral and written communcation skills .
* Demonstrate knowledge of instructional technology.
