Chief Engineer - Lead Innovation in Aerospace & Manufacturing

What You'll Do:
Lead engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring top-tier designs and manufacturing processes
Utilize metrics & analytics to drive business growth, decision-making, and continuous improvement
Optimize profitability by managing budgets, evaluating ROI, and balancing cost with innovation
Analyze customer proposals, commercial & military specs, and repair manuals to determine design feasibility
Design high-performance products & systems, including heat transfer equipment, aircraft exhaust components, and tooling
Develop manufacturing plans & BOMs using WCC's advanced manufacturing software
Oversee fabrication, installation & field evaluations, ensuring compliance with engineering designs & customer specs
Collaborate across departments to ensure optimal machine and equipment utilization
Travel to customer sites, other divisions, and technical conferences to stay at the forefront of industry advancements
What You Bring to the Table:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
10+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, machine design, or product engineering
Strong leadership & interpersonal skills-ability to inspire and manage a high-performance team
Expertise in 3D modeling & drafting using CAD software
Deep knowledge of precision tools, measuring equipment, and advanced manufacturing processes
Project management experience-capable of handling multiple complex projects
Proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and strategic decision-making
Key Technical & Analytical Skills:
Advanced mathematics & statistical analysis-from logarithms to variance analysis
Strong reasoning & problem-solving abilities-capable of handling abstract and concrete technical challenges
Excellent written & verbal communication skills-from business reports to technical presentations
Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and CAD for design & machine programming
