As a Plumber, a typical day might include:

• Inspecting, installing, repairing, and replacing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures throughout the Medical Center.
• Maintaining heating, water, gas, and drainage systems to support safe and reliable facility operations.
• Repairing low-pressure steam lines and condensation return pipes, as well as installing pipe assemblies and plumbing fixtures.
• Performing preventative maintenance inspections on plumbing fixtures, piping, valves, and related equipment.
• Replacing defective pipes and repairing leaks or damaged connections through soldering, caulking, and other appropriate techniques.
• Working with a variety of plumbing components, including pressure relief valves, check valves, steam traps, strainers, fittings, and other related equipment.
• Assisting with the operation and maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems.
• Identifying maintenance concerns and reporting conditions requiring attention to the Lead Plumber.
• Reporting safety hazards and facility concerns to help maintain a safe environment.
• Supporting other skilled trades as a mechanic or assistant when needed.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a high school diploma or completion of trade school and 5 years of practical plumbing experience. You must also possess a valid New Jersey Driver's license. Preferred qualifications include a certified Plumber's license. Please advise this is a Full-Time postion, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm.
