The Utility Operator I supports daily manufacturing operations by performing part finishing and assisting operators in the saw, laser, and bending work centers. This is an entry-level position focused on safety, quality, material flow, and learning multiple production processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Deburr, grind, sand, and clean manufactured parts to required quality standards. * Remove sharp edges, slag, burrs, and other surface imperfections. * Assist with loading and unloading materials at saws, lasers, and bending equipment. * Stage raw materials and work-in-process according to the production schedule. * Help sort, count, identify, and move completed parts to the next operation. * Perform basic inspections using drawings, work instructions, and measuring tools. * Maintain accurate part identification and prevent parts from being mixed. * Support machine operators with material handling, cleanup, and routine production tasks. * Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas. * Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment. * Report quality, equipment, or material concerns to the lead or supervisor. * Perform other manufacturing and material-handling duties as assigned. Qualifications
* Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required. * Ability to read basic work instructions and part drawings. * Ability to use basic hand tools, grinders, sanders, and measuring equipment. * Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Dependable attendance and ability to follow the production schedule. Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. * Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. * Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks. * Ability to work around manufacturing equipment, noise, metal debris, and moving materials. Forklift experience preferred Benefits
