Cashier I

Location: Rexburg, ID Yard

We're looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Cashier / Customer Service Associate who enjoys helping customers and creating a positive shopping experience. In this role, you'll be the face of our business, providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and helping maintain an organized and inviting retail environment.

As a Cashier / Customer Service Associate, you will:

• Welcome customers with a professional and positive attitude.
• Process customer purchases accurately using a cash register and point-of-sale system.
• Accept payments and issue receipts, refunds, credits, and change as needed.
• Package customer purchases and thank customers for their business.
• Answer customer questions and provide product, pricing, and store information.
• Direct customers to product pick-up locations when necessary.
• Open and close cash tills while accurately documenting transactions and balancing receipts.
• Verify credit card and check payments.
• Provide prompt and courteous telephone support.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
• Assist with stocking merchandise, pricing products, and maintaining attractive displays.
• Support inventory management activities, including annual physical inventory counts.
• Follow all company safety procedures and participate in required safety meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of customer service, cashiering, retail, or related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Strong customer service skills in both face-to-face and phone interactions.
• Experience operating cash registers and handling transactions accurately.
• Solid mathematical and cash-handling skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and assist customers professionally.

• Work is performed in both indoor retail and outdoor environments and may involve exposure to changing weather and temperatures.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
