Position Title: Senior Facility / Production Maintenance Technician

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Senior Facility / Production Maintenance Technician at a company in Waukegan, IL. This is a direct hire position for 1st shift. Apply now! Senior Facility / Production Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: - Repair / adjust heating and cooling systems for minor problems - Assist Facilities Manager in the maintenance and repair of compressed air system throughout the factory with the assistance and/or recommendation of contracted vendor - Assist Facilities Manager and outside vendors in the maintenance and modifications/upgrades of the telephone system. Provide training and programming as required - Oversee all building security related matters, including onsite guard personnel and alarm system - Maintain structural appearance and upkeep of the facility to fulfill the appearance needs of the building and grounds - Utilize contracted assistance as required and approved by management under the supervision of the Facilities Manager - Assist the Facilities Manager with contract negotiations and purchasing of parts and/or service. Maintain budget requirements as determined by the Facilities Manager - Assist or handle emergencies at any time in the overall goal of keeping the building and employees capable of fulfilling customer needs - Perform and maintain a day-to-day priority schedule of work to be completed throughout the facility/production areas. Prioritize as required to meet the needs of the organization Requirements for Senior Facility / Production Maintenance Technician: - High School Diploma or equivalent - At least two to three years of experience in the maintenance field - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings - Ability to work on feet for an 8-hour shift - Ability to identify small defects with the aid of a microscope, if needed - Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally - Ability to climb 40-50 feet with safety gear QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
