Position Title: Welder/Fabricator
Salary: $47,840-$58,240 per year Shift: 1st, 2nd Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm; 4:30pm-3:00am (Mon-Thurs) QPS Employment Group has a great Welder/Fabricator position available at a company in Liberty, MO. This is a 1st and 2nd shift direct hire position. Welder/Fabricator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, measurements, and welding specifications. - Determine the appropriate welding equipment, settings, and methods for each assignment. - Set up components, fixtures, clamps, and materials according to specifications. - Align parts using fixtures, tape measures, levels, speed squares, and related tools. - Operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. - Perform FCAW welding on trailers and other automotive components. - Prepare parts for welding by operating angle grinders and other preparation equipment. - Weld components, fill gaps, and complete trailer and structural assemblies. - Inspect welded surfaces and structures for flaws, defects, and compliance with quality standards. - Maintain company quality requirements and immediately address issues using a "Stop and Fix" approach. - Maintain welding equipment in a condition that supports safe and effective operation. - Assist other welders to support efficient completion of production work. - Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards. - Follow all company procedures, rules, regulations, and safe-work practices. Welder/Fabricator Requirements: - At least 2 years of recent professional or industrial welding experience. - FCAW experience required (1st shift). - Ability to read a metric ruler. - Ability to read blueprints and drawings and take accurate measurements. - Ability to select appropriate welding methods, equipment, and settings. - Ability to weld in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions. - Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds. - Ability to work for up to 10 hours in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and working overhead. - Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. - Aluminum welding experience preferred. - Must be eligible to work in the US.
