Triumph Commercial Finance is looking for a Risk Analyst I to assess credit risk, support lending decisions, and help manage the ongoing health of our loan portfolio. In this role, you'll work closely with sales, servicing, and other internal teams to evaluate borrower financials, identify potential risks, and develop recommendations that balance business opportunities with appropriate risk management.

Day in the Life:

Your day will involve reviewing new loan applications, analyzing financial statements and borrower information, and preparing credit recommendations for lending decisions. You'll also partner with sales and internal teams to address potential risks, maintain accurate credit files, monitor existing borrower relationships, and ensure financial reporting and loan requirements are being met.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Review loan applications, financial statements, credit reports, business conditions, and management experience to evaluate borrower creditworthiness.
  • Identify potential credit risks and recommend appropriate loan structures, collateral, and guarantor requirements to help protect the business.
  • Prepare credit memos and presentations for lending relationships ranging from $100,000 to $50 million.
  • Partner with sales teams to communicate credit decisions and reach solutions that align with lending guidelines and borrower expectations.
  • Work with internal teams to ensure loan documentation is complete and appropriate security interests are in place.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and organized digital credit files.
  • Collect and review borrower financial statements and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor financial reporting requirements and loan covenants to identify potential concerns and support ongoing portfolio management.
  • Assist with data entry, reporting, and system updates to support accurate credit information.
  • Support other team responsibilities and projects as needed.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • 5-10 years of experience in commercial credit underwriting, preferably within equipment finance.
  • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience in equipment finance.
  • Strong understanding of commercial credit analysis, financial statements, and lending risk.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information and provide clear recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Ability to take initiative, work collaboratively, and build effective relationships across sales, operations, servicing, and collections teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with title work, lien perfection, and transportation finance is preferred.
