Base Custodian

The Richfield Public School District is now accepting applications for a full-time Districtwide Base Custodian. This role will perform a variety of daily cleaning, minor inside maintenance and routine outside grounds maintenance as scheduled or assigned in a timely, courteous manner that helps maintain a clean, safe environment for students, staff and visitors.

The Base Custodian provides support across multiple Facilities functions, including custodial, building maintenance, grounds, boiler/heating systems, and transportation responsibilities as assigned. The position provides opportunities to develop broader Facilities knowledge and skills through cross-training and hands-on experience, supporting a career-development pathway toward higher-classified Facilities positions as opportunities become available. This position will operate a school bus as scheduled or assigned and safely pick up, transport and drop off authorized riders from designated points to authorized stops or designated destinations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Minnesota driver's license with a driving record that meets or exceeds District standards.
• Valid Minnesota Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate school bus and passenger endorsements, or the ability to obtain and maintain the required CDL and endorsements within the timeframe established by the District.
• Valid Special Engineer Boiler License appropriate to the assigned responsibilities.

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $28.02 (Based on education and experience). Please note, the current rate is for the 2025-26 and contract is currently under negotiation for the 2026-27 school year.
