Overview
The Director, Consumer Marketing is responsible for developing and executing consumer-focused marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, consideration, and adoption of the Oticon's products. Operating within a B2B2C model, this role serves as the bridge between consumer demand generation and practice success, ensuring clinics are effectively connected with patients and partners. The Director of Consumer Marketing will lead a team of Consumer Marketing specialists. The Director will be responsible for growing the consumer marketing area, so it becomes a point of differentiation for the Oticon brand. The director is responsible for rescoping and developing the strategy for the area - from defining the business opportunity, leveraging insights to setting specific KPIs that support business growth. The Director interacts with key stakeholders including Sales, Product Management, Customer Experience and others to drive growth and new initiatives. This position reports to the VP of Marketing and requires working Tuesday/Thursday onsite in our Somerset, NJ location.
Responsibilities
Consumer Marketing Strategy
- Develop and execute comprehensive consumer marketing strategies aligned with business objectives and growth priorities.
- Assist practices in driving awareness, consideration, and demand for the company's products and solutions among patients, caregivers, and consumers.
- Create scalable B2B2C marketing programs that support consumer engagement and partner growth.
- Develop annual marketing plans, budgets, and performance objectives.
- Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, content, email, and traditional marketing channels.
- Build consumer demand-generation programs that drive qualified leads to providers, clinics, and partners.
- Create consumer-focused marketing assets, campaigns, and toolkits that can be leveraged across partner networks.
- Collaborate with regional and local stakeholders to adapt campaigns for market-specific needs.
- Ensure alignment between consumer marketing strategies and commercial objectives.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Product Management, Sales, and Customer Experience teams.
- Support product launches and go-to-market initiatives with consumer-focused strategies and campaigns.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive business results.
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing consumer marketing team.
- Foster a culture of innovation, customer focus, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage agency relationships, marketing vendors, and external partners.
- Develop talent and succession plans that support organizational growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field required. MBA a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, including leadership roles within medical device, healthcare, consumer health, or related industries.
- Proven success in developing and executing consumer demand-generation and customer engagement strategies.
- Experience operating within a B2B2C business model and supporting channel-based commercial organizations.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior leadership.
- Experience supporting provider, clinic, or distributor-based customer channels.
- Excelling at connecting consumer insights with the success of the customer's plan
- Experience with B2B2C marketing and how to develop an optimal tool-box. Ability and desire to take full ownership of projects and drive them to completion

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $170,000 and $189,000 annual; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
