Ready to gain real-world HR experience while making an impact? Pepper Construction is looking for a motivated and curious Human Resources Intern to join our Indianapolis team starting Fall 2026.

This isn't your typical internship. You'll work alongside experienced HR professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain hands-on exposure to the employee experience from onboarding and training to employee engagement and HR operations. You'll have the opportunity to develop practical skills, build professional connections, and learn what it takes to support a thriving workplace culture.

What You'll Do

As a member of the HR team, you'll have the opportunity to:

• Support day-to-day HR operations and administrative functions
• Assist with employee onboarding and orientation activities
• Help coordinate training sessions, professional development programs, and employee events
• Schedule meetings and support office-wide initiatives
• Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Assist with employee communications and engagement activities
• Support HR projects that contribute to a positive employee experience
• Gain exposure to employee relations, talent development, and other key HR functions

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field
• Junior or Senior standing preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Organized, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and manage time effectively
• Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
• Ability to work approximately 15 to 20 hours each week in an office environment
