From Digital Isolator to Isolated Gate Drivers, the Power Isolation team supports a broad range of products within Skyworks' exciting and innovative power electronics portfolio. This versatile and growing team is heavily involved in the full product development life cycle, including product definition, hardware development, validation, and support for key customers in the power industry. As an Applications Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn and gain valuable experience working with power electronics, embedded systems, lab equipment, and automation in a fun, collaborative environment, while making a valuable contribution to Skyworks' Power products! Responsibilities Createhardware reference designs and evaluation software demonstrating key product features Design hardware and test fixtures for validation and evaluation of Power products Automate data collection and analysis to improve test efficiency Find creative solutions to help solve tough problems Draft customer-facing documents including Application Notes, White Papers, and User Guides Present your work to the broader team Required Experience and Skills Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in EE, CE, or equivalent Strong understanding of electrical circuit fundamentals Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems (hardware and software) Printed circuit board schematic capture and layout Experience with high-level embedded programming and scripting languages (C/Python) Excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in explaining technical concepts to a wide range of audiences The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
