Process Technician

Job Purpose:

The Process Technician is considered an expert of manufacturing processes and equipment. This ProcessTechnician is responsible for adjustments, equipment set-up, autonomous maintenance, daily reports,and training equipment operators to assure production plan is accomplished in a safe, efficient, andproductive manner with a high degree of quality in a fast paced manufacturing environment. TheProcess Technician must be able to learn to operate various forms of assembly equipment, and teachnew employees proper operation of the equipment. Process Technicians are also responsible for daily productivity in their equipment and data analysis.

Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead with product change overs and equipment adjustments based on quality and cycle timerequirements. Assist Maintenance Technicians in installation, debugging, repair and maintenance ofproduction equipment. Perform tasks related to autonomous maintenance, changeovers, inspectionand testing of equipment and specific projects. Troubleshoot and address problems in order to returnequipment to manufacturing capabilities with minimal downtime. Diagnose process defects andequipment failure, and solve problems with minimal scrap and downtime Create new standards withmanufacturing engineers and technicians to improve equipment stability. Work closely withmanufacturing engineers and other maintenance technicians in a team environment to ensure efficientoperation of machinery and to implement process improvements. Education and Experience:

*Associate's degree in maintenance technology and/ or technical trade certificate a plus

* Ability to communicate effectively

* Lead and participate in root cause analysis of equipment or parts.

* Safely comply with health, safety & environmental requirements education/work experience.

* Experience with appropriate processes (SMT assembly, Flying Probe testing and troubleshooting,reflow profiles, and PTH assembly process)

* May be required to work weekends/shutdowns based on equipment maintenance needs and orproduction deadlines.

* Must be able to operate a computer and various Microsoft software suites.

* The appropriate candidate for this position is results oriented, team player, self-starting, dynamic,flexible, and strongly motivated to succeed and deliver.

* Proven past ability to set-up, operate and perform autonomous maintenance on fully automatedheavy equipment in a high speed manufacturing environment

* Excellent communication skills and ability to provide direction of technical and complex issues tonontechnical support personnel

* Ability to ensure product is built to specification in a quality manner

* Experience in Microsoft Office

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Ability to read and interpret documents & drawings and write detailed repair reports.

* Ability to lead others and experience in training others in autonomous maintenance.

* Knowledge of Design/Solid Works or AutoCAD

* Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles

* Schematics Reading/Understanding

* ESD knowledgeable

* The employee must be able to lift and/or move items up to 20-25 lbs.

Salary Range (annual) : $45,760.00 - $52,000.00

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
