Graphic Designer III

Aquent is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Graphic Designer to join a dynamic web retail design team, partnering with a leading online retailer that shapes the digital shopping experience for millions. This is an exciting opportunity to directly impact how products are presented and perceived, contributing to the visual identity of a globally recognized platform. This is a part-time, highly execution-focused hybrid design role within a high-volume ad creative studio.

About the Role

As a Graphic Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visual appeal and user experience of a major online retail platform. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the visual standards that guide customer interaction, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand presence across various digital touchpoints. Your designs will directly influence customer engagement and the overall aesthetic quality of the online shopping journey.

What You'll Do

• Design strongly branded promotional graphics that capture attention and drive customer action.
• Optimize digital images for maximum download efficiency without compromising visual quality.
• Develop clean, effective graphic templates and styleguides to ensure brand consistency and streamline production workflows.
• Manage multiple project requests simultaneously, consistently meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Online portfolio of work is REQUIRED.
• 4+ years of minimum experience in a web production environment.
• BA/BS in Design or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent Adobe Photoshop skills.
• Proficient in Illustrator and Dreamweaver/HTML/CSS.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently to drive projects to completion.
• Demonstrated web expertise, intrinsic design ability, and strong typographic skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Flash and ActionScript.
• Previous retail web experience.
• Illustration skills.
