Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Associate Dean of Administration for the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy.The Associate Dean of Administration of the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy is the chief operating and administrative officer of the school.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Supports to the Dean on strategy and project management, and oversight of an array of tasks, including management of data infrastructure, budget and finance, and personnel, as well as oversight of the research enterprise, space, facilities, and computing, and outreach and communications.
- Collaborates with other leadership at the school and in the central administration, addressing policy development and implementation, including the school's compliance with university policies and procedures.
- Maintains the oversight of the school's outreach and marketing, finance and budget, data and technology infrastructure, and all the associated tasks needed for the academic, research, and service enterprises and answerable to all stakeholders, i.e., faculty, staff, students, as well as alumni, peer higher educational institutions, industry, public, government agencies, and other interested parties.
- Oversees and personally coordinates all aspects of faculty human resources, especially appointments, reappointments, and promotions.
- Oversees all aspects of HR for staff in the central and satellite offices.
- Oversees management of marketing/outreach/communications, information technology and tech infrastructure, facilities, including space management and offsite locations, health/safety/security protocols, and all elements of financial management, including research enterprise, financial operations (accounting), and budget.
- Works with the other Associate Deans in the School and throughout the New Brunswick campus and reports to the Dean of the Bloustein School.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of senior-level management experience in higher education administration, with responsibility for budget development, personnel management, and long-range planning.

- Master's degree.
- Higher education experience.
- Ability to assume management-level responsibilities at the highest level of independence.
- Demonstrated success in building and managing an expanding organization.

- Experience in and sensitivity for leading a school with a diverse student body and faculty.
