A&P Mechanics

STS Line Maintenance is hiring A&P Mechanics in Boise, Idaho, to support commercial aircraft line maintenance operations.

We're looking for experienced, highly motivated aircraft maintenance professionals who can troubleshoot, inspect and repair transport-category aircraft while maintaining strict standards for safety, quality and airworthiness.

Pay ranges from $32 to $40 per hour based on experience.

The A&P Mechanic supports the daily maintenance needs of airline customers at our Boise line maintenance station.

Working closely with the Station Manager, Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technicians, airline personnel, flight crews and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers, you will help ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with applicable regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies and approved maintenance procedures.

Work will be performed on aircraft including the Boeing 737NG and MAX, Airbus A320 family and Embraer 145, 170 and 175.

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, adjust and repair transport-category aircraft airframes and engines
  
• Ensure aircraft are maintained to applicable airworthiness standards and regulatory requirements
  
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic system discrepancies
  
• Adjust, repair or replace defective components based on test results
  
• Follow aircraft maintenance manuals, schematics, handbooks and other approved technical documentation
  
• Use hand tools, test equipment and precision measuring instruments during maintenance activities
  
• Inspect components for wear and determine appropriate repair or replacement requirements
  
• Work closely with airline personnel, flight crews and Aircraft Maintenance Controllers
  
• Maintain high standards for quality, safety and workmanship
  
• Perform maintenance outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required
  
• Complete additional duties as assigned
  

• Current and valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
  
• No history of FAA certificate infractions
  
• Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications
  
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair aircraft airframe and engine systems
  
• Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic aircraft systems
  
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  
• Basic to intermediate computer skills
  
• Strong organizational skills
  
• Positive attitude and strong customer focus
  
• Strong communication skills and work ethic
  
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as required
  
• Ability to stand for extended periods
  
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  
• Must own a standard set of line maintenance tools
  
• Must be able to successfully complete required background screening and drug and alcohol testing
  
• Must be able to obtain required Customs and Border Protection clearance
  

Calibrated and specialty tooling will be provided.

• Recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft
  
• Experience working under an FAA-approved Part 145 repair station
  
• Part 135 maintenance experience
  
• Inspection Authorization
  

Maintenance may be performed on:

• Boeing 737NG
  
• Boeing 737 MAX
  
• Airbus A320 family
  
• Embraer 145
  
• Embraer 170
  
• Embraer 175
  

Pay ranges from $32 to $40 per hour based on previous experience.
