Production Technician - ICS

Belanger, Inc.is part of OPW VWS, a division within Dover Fueling Solutions. We are a leader in the Vehicle Wash Manufacturing industry. We have an immediate need for a Production Technician at our Livonia facility. Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, and vacation eligibility on their first day of hire. This is a first shift position, M-F with OT as needed to meet customer demands.

The Production Technician assembles and tests products and sub-assemblies per accepted safety, quality and productivity standards and protocols that he/she helps initiate and maintain along with the assistance of other production personnel. All of this is done to ultimately maximize our customer's satisfaction level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assemble and test electrical/electronic products and sub-assemblies per accepted safety, quality, and productivity standards and protocols.
• Record and submit productivity and quality metrics to the Team leader or Production Leader.
• Plays a pivotal role in maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Complete all essential duties as well as the applicable paperwork and computer entries on a timely basis.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and practices.
• Collaborate with team members to identify process improvements and increase efficiency.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Basic understanding of circuit boards, schematic reading and electrical meter skills.
• Background working with AC/DC voltages.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and inventory management software (i.e. Oracle, MS Office)
• Ability to manage multiple projects at a time
• Ability to provide detail analysis on problems encountered while testing
• Experience with basic hand tools (saws, hammers, drills, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure
• Strong communication skills, delivering thoughts and ideas clearly both written and verbally
