Regional Workforce Planner

At Interstates, we are growing, and so is our need for strong Regional Workforce Planner. The Workforce Planner is responsible for providing the highest level of workforce planning, scheduling, and employee development to maximize success amongst our craft employee bases. The Workforce Planner is responsible for translating high-level labor demand forecasts into actionable workforce deployment plans. This role supports project execution by ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time, based on skill, availability, and project requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Align with Lane Leaders and project teams to understand current and upcoming labor needs across all active projects.
• Assign labor efficiently based on skill, location, and jobsite requirements.
• Maintain updated labor pool availability and anticipate future needs.
• Maintain regular communication with PMs, Supers, and Lane Leaders.
• Act as a central point of contact for labor-related concerns from field teams.
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date entries in the workforce management system.
• Verify labor requests and forecasts are correct and reflect real-time needs.
• Ensure labor assignments meet licensing and jurisdictional requirements.
• Confirm jobsite-specific requirements are recorded and communicated.
• Promotes Interstates resource sharing and collaboration across lanes and business units.
• Generate reports on labor utilization, upcoming workforce availability, and shortfalls.
• Identify trends and recommend improvements in workforce planning processes.
• Oversight and day-to-day management of specific lane and workforce Coordinator.
• Family core value, support and encourage positive behavior and camaraderie.
• Demonstrates the ability to build relationships and establish credibility at all levels of the organization to impact and influence behaviors and outcomes.

What Success Looks Like

• Regional active-job and opportunity forecasts are current enough to be trusted for workforce decisions.
• Every Regional Office has a consistent labor-planning cadence and clear follow-up on staffing actions.
• Workforce sharing between offices and National is identified earlier and coordinated more deliberately.
• Regional contingent labor follows one consistent process with clear visibility to open needs and risk.
• ES leaders receive concise, proactive reporting on capacity issues before they become urgent.

What We're Looking For

• Associate degree in Business, Operations, HR or related field required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-4 years of workforce planning, scheduling, operations coordination or project support experience.

Location:

This job is located onsite in one of our regional offices. There may be up to 10% travel.
