General Job Description Position Overview The Electrical Leadman is responsible for performing advanced electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work while supporting operational efficiency and project completion. This role works closely with employees, customers, vendors, and leadership to ensure electrical systems are installed and maintained safely, accurately, and in compliance with company and industry standards. Primary Responsibilities Perform advanced electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on electrical systems and equipment. Review project plans, specifications, and work orders to ensure accurate project execution. Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues in a timely and professional manner. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable electrical codes. Coordinate with employees, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments regarding project activities and operational needs. Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to electrical work and project activities. Assist with training, mentoring, and leading less experienced technicians as needed. Monitor equipment, materials, and job site conditions to support operational efficiency and safety. Support project timelines and assist with resolving operational concerns in the field. Maintain professionalism and effective communication throughout all customer and operational interactions. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Education None Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 Specific Qualifications Required Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, installation practices, troubleshooting techniques, and construction methods. Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, applicable electrical codes, and industry standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, project plans, specifications, and electrical documentation. Ability to effectively lead, coordinate, train, and provide direction to electrical field personnel. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in the field. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, project requirements, and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality, productivity, and customer expectations. Proficiency in using electrical tools, testing equipment, mobile devices, and applicable systems or software. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project leadership, field personnel, customers, vendors, and subcontractors. Ability to pass pre-employment screenings such as background and motor vehicle record checks. English speaking, reading, and writing preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties. Spanish speaking preferred. Maintain professionalism and a positive, respectful demeanor with customers, coworkers, and business partners. Education/Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid Master Electrician license required. Previous electrical installation, construction, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience required. Previous experience leading or supervising electrical crews or field operations preferred. Experience within construction, field operations, or service environments preferred. Relevant electrical certifications or additional licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties. Equivalent combination of education, electrical experience, and field leadership experience may be considered. Physical Requirements Use electrical tools, testing equipment, and safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment. Communicate in person, by phone, and electronically including on a tablet, smartphone, and other office technology. Travel as required to support project and operational needs. Dependable transportation and commitment to punctual, reliable on-site attendance. Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday. Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites. Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions. Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures. Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require. Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position. Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or work authorization support.
