About the team As part of our Mixed IC Validation team, you will contribute to the pre-silicon emulation and post-silicon validation of leading-edge mixed-signal audio chips. You will work with engineers across IC Design, Systems, and Applications to understand product requirements, test silicon and evaluation boards, investigate issues, and help ensure our products meet their performance goals. Our chips enable high-quality audio experiences through highly integrated, platform-level functionality while supporting low power consumption and high efficiency. We are looking for a curious, hands-on engineer who is excited to begin a career in semiconductor validation. This is an opportunity to learn from experienced engineers while helping bring high-performance mixed-signal audio products to market. What you'll do Develop and execute tests on the lab bench during pre-silicon and post-silicon product phases. Learn to use validation plans, datasheets, and product requirements to evaluate functionality and performance. Build or enhance automated test scripts and regression test suites using Python. Work with oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other laboratory equipment to measure and understand device behavior. Partner with IC Design, Systems, and Applications engineers to understand use cases and solve technical problems. Help debug issues involving silicon, evaluation boards, software, and hardware tools. Analyze test results, identify failures, and communicate findings using tools such as Spotfire. Document test methods, results, and conclusions clearly for the broader engineering team. Basic qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, completed or expected by the start date. Academic, internship, co-op, research, or personal project experience with programming or scripting in MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, C, or a similar language. Exposure to electrical engineering fundamentals through coursework, laboratory work, projects, or prior experience. Interest in hands-on debugging and learning how silicon, boards, software, and test equipment work together. Effective problem-solving, attention to detail, written communication, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively across engineering teams and take ownership of assigned work. Preferred qualifications Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, or other electronic laboratory equipment. Coursework, project, internship, or research experience in analog, digital, power electronics, mixed-signal, or audio engineering. Experience developing automated tests, analyzing data, or building a regression test framework. Familiarity with reading schematics, datasheets, timing diagrams, or electrical specifications. Experience presenting technical work through a class project, internship, research activity, or student organization.
