Part-Time Temporary Technical Coordinator - Volleyball

The Technical Coordinator for Volleyball supports the volleyball program through the collection, management, and analysis of team and player performance data. This position plays a key role in player development, game preparation, and opponent scouting by providing coaches with accurate statistical reporting, video analysis, and data-driven insights. The Technical Coordinator assists with volleyball technology operations, maintains performance databases, charts and codes practice and competition data, and prepares analytical reports to support strategic decision-making. Working closely with the coaching staff, this position serves as a valuable resource for statistical and scouting information while contributing to the overall success of the program.

What You'll Do

• Collect, organize, and analyze player and team performance data to support player development and competitive success.
• Create statistical and analytical reports for coaches to assist with game preparation and performance evaluation.
• Maintain, monitor, and verify player statistics and performance metrics within team databases.
• Chart and code practice and competition data for analysis by coaches and support staff.
• Prepare weekly statistical summaries and analytical updates.
• Assist in the development of scouting reports on opponents and individual players.
• Provide coaches with requested statistical, analytical, and video-related information.
• Support volleyball technology and video analysis operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Volleyball Coach.

Length of Assignment: Approximately 4 Months
Work Hours: 20 hours per week

• Bachelor's degree
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience involving:
  • College athletics
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

• Maintain high standard of ethics and integrity related to intercollegiate athletics
• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics
• Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA and conference guidelines, policies, rules and regulations with the ability to interpret, apply, enforce and explain such policies and rules
• Maintain knowledge of state and University policies and procedures
• Exhibit strong creative, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure
• Demonstrated ability to function professionally under high stress and confrontational circumstances
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks for extended period of time
• Demonstrated ability to independently plan and organize work
• Proactive attitude towards work and assignments
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
• Demonstrated knowledge of record keeping and adherence to schedule
• Ability to stay abreast of information impacting the affected area
• Ability to maintain proper unit attendance and punctuality standards, work extended hours including nights and weekends (often with extensive walking and standing)
• Demonstrated knowledge of effected areas of involvement
• Ability to make administrative / procedural decisions and judgments
• Demonstrated knowledge of the rules, terminology and skills related to football and other intercollegiate sports
