Kids Are Our Everything. Department 10358 Periop Sterile Proc SvcsPay Range $70,595.20 - $117,644.80 Provides supervision of assigned staff to ensure daily technical operations. Achieves and complies with established operating budget, quality control and inventory management. Responsible for compliance with disinfection/sterilization or medical devices and infection control standards set forth by hospital, FDA, CDC, AAMI, and JCAHO. Assists with continuous Quality Improvement initiatives and education of all Sterile Processing Department Staff. Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or GED (Required) Minimum Work Experience 5 years At least 5 years of progressive related experience either in SPD, or the OR. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management experience in hospital, sterile processing department. Recognized Clinical expertise in sterile processing practice. . Required Skills/Knowledge Expertise in the area of Sterile Processing. Knowledge of Strong knowledge of Joint Commission and other regulatory agency requirements. Demonstrated leadership and management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiar with department budget and interpersonal communication. Required Licenses and Certifications Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (C.S.P.D.T) or other Sterile Processing Certification 60 Days, (Required) Functional Accountabilities Organizational Performance
The disclosed salary range includes the minimum and maximum rates within which Children's National believes an individual's base pay rate will fall for this position. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the maximum of the pay range. The exact pay rate for this position will be based on a variety of factors in alignment with the Children's National compensation philosophy. These factors are legitimate and non-discriminatory including, but not limited to, the current market conditions; organizational needs; the individual's combination of prior work experience, level of education, knowledge, skills, and other qualifications.
