Position Summary Global Sales & Marketing Manager, Industrial Equipment (Cary, NC / Erie, PA) Responsible for global sales growth in the Industrial Equipment business segment of the division with a scope of ~$175M in sales. Responsible for sales efforts, market programs, and leadership of sales, business development and customer service team members. Reports to the General Manager. Directly leads Global Sales/Business Development Managers and the Industrial Equipment Customer Service organization. Interacts with current and prospective customers, trade associations, regulatory or government agencies, and all levels of the organization including corporate officers, group, and corporate staff functions. Responsibilities Works with division and sales leadership to develop and execute the global sales strategy. Directly responsible for Industrial Equipment sales across direct and indirect channels. Responsible for leading, guiding, and developing the Sales and Customer Service teams. Focuses the commercial team in identifying, evaluating, and capturing new business opportunities in marketing campaigns developed based on the potential sales initiatives. Responsible for implementation and utilization for appropriate CRM tools to effectively manage the Sales Opportunity Pipeline and for ensuring accurate information across the global team. Supports customer satisfaction surveys and uses the information on an annual basis to drive continuous improvement in the organization to secure the satisfaction and loyalty of current customers. Supports the commercial team in the evaluation of sales opportunities, defines appropriate business cases, executes strategy, and capture plans for specific prospects. Negotiates complex pricing and other proposals (Long-Term Agreements, Joint Development Agreements, Inventory management, distributor agreements, etc.) in coordination with division leadership and other supporting functions. Maintains knowledge of economic and technological trends in target markets. Participates in external activities including customer contact, industry meetings, marketing associations, technical associations, foreign licensees and affiliates and local associations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or other related discipline. Master's degree (MS or MBA) strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others typically acquired through ten or more years of increasing experience and responsibility including prior leadership roles. Understanding of applicable product technologies and applications highly preferred. Strong knowledge of management principles, industry practices, company and competitor products, technology, and service capabilities. Strong knowledge of operational and business processes.
