Your Impact

As a Front-End Software Engineer in Cisco's CX Engineering organization you will play a critical role in shaping the future of AI-driven solutions across Cisco's product and services portfolio. You will be responsible for the full development lifecycle for our critical Angular applications, redefining high-fidelity designs into performant, high quality user experiences. You will operate with high autonomy to design scalable solutions that directly solve business challenges. By bridging the gap between design intent and engineering execution, you will play a key role in refining our architectural standards and ensure our front-end ecosystem remains intuitive, accessible, and consistently optimized for peak operational performance.

  • Front-End Architecture: Lead the architectural design of large-scale front-end applications. Define standards for modular architecture, state management patterns, and cross-team code sharing.
  • Development & Execution: Build and maintain responsive, high-performance web interfaces using Angular and TypeScript. Take ownership of features from technical design through to production, ensuring pixel-perfect implementation of UI designs.
  • Design-to-Code Workflow: Interpret, prototype, and refine mockups using Figma or Adobe XD. Identify and address usability friction points within design assets before and during the implementation phase.
  • Architectural Excellence: Define and implement modular Angular architectures, focusing on performance, scalability, and code maintainability. Implement best practices such as signal-based state management, optimized change detection, and robust RxJS pipelines.
  • Quality & Accessibility: Mentor team members on translating design systems into accessible, performant code. Ensure all builds comply with WCAG standards and meet meticulous performance benchmarks.
  • Advanced AI Integration: Architect front-end systems that handle high-frequency data from AI pipelines. Lead the development of complex, generative-AI enabled dashboards and advanced data-visualization tools that enable users to interact with large, complex datasets.
  • Mentorship & Influence: Actively mentor peers and junior engineers.
  • Multi-functional Collaboration: Partner with product management and multi-functional collaborators to translate business needs into technical roadmaps and innovative engineering solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in front-end development, specifically within an enterprise or SaaS context.
  • Experience using Angular, RxJS, and TypeScript.
  • Able to iterate on designs using Figma or Adobe XD to enhance user satisfaction and functional efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience architecting front-end solutions for AI-driven platforms (LLM interfaces, agentic UI).
  • Experience in Design Token management and bridging the gap between designers and developers.
  • Strong understanding of Performance Metrics (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals) in an Angular context.
  • Ability to interpret user behavior data (analytics, heatmaps) and translate it into actionable UI improvements.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to articulate architectural decisions to non-technical collaborators.
  • Experience designing UIs that integrate LLM outputs or Copilot-style AI assistants into professional workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, drive technical consensus, and communicate architectural concepts to diverse collaborators.
  • Cisco networking knowledge is a plus.
