What You'll Do

• Craft intricate 3D models and detailed drawing layouts using advanced design software.
• Transform conceptual exhibit designs into practical, buildable, and fully functional solutions.
• Develop precise CNC programming and optimize part layouts with specialized automation software.
• Design comprehensive wiring schematics and custom Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) utilizing industry-standard tools.
• Integrate programmable logic controllers (PLC) and microcontroller-based systems to engineer captivating interactive and controlled exhibit elements.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and production leads, offering essential engineering support throughout the entire fabrication process.
• Engage directly in production activities, providing hands-on support and refining build quality to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Demonstrated strong problem-solving abilities and a quick-thinking approach to challenges.
• Comfort and effectiveness working within a shop and production environment.
• Familiarity with CAD tools, specifically Autodesk Inventor, or a proven aptitude for rapid learning of new software.
• Self-motivated, highly detail-oriented, and eager to embrace continuous growth and development.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Interest in or prior experience with CNC machining, 3D printing technologies (FDM and mDLP), electronics, or general fabrication processes.
• Openness to entry-level candidates who possess the right mindset and a strong capacity for learning.
• Experience with AutoCAD for mechanical design.
• Proficiency with R-CIM Automation for CNC programming.
• Knowledge of KiCad for custom wiring diagrams and PCB development.
• Familiarity with PLC and Arduino microcontrollers for interactive systems.
