Position: Quality Technician
Location: Hartford, WI
Shift: 1 st , 6:00-4:30pm M-TH (4:00am and 5:00am start times are also offered)
Pay: $20-29.00 / Hour
Job Overview: Quality technicians prevent unsatisfactory products from being part of the completed job. A quality tech is responsible for examining materials for flaws and deviations from the original product specifications. Quality techs inspect, accept, or reject products for durability, function, customer satisfaction and overall quality. The primary role of technicians at this level is to support the production, packaging, and warehouse operations. These technicians will be required to perform post clean-up inspections, sample testing. This function is directly tied to the day-to-day operation of equipment and the production of product .
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to determine if it meets quality standards.
  • Conduct tests and measurements using various tools and equipment to verify product specifications.
  • Record and document inspection results, ensuring accurate data entry into quality management systems.
  • Identify non-conformities and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Complete Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation and support submission requirements to meet customer and industry standards.
  • Perform dimensional layout inspections and dimensional bubbling of engineering drawings to ensure all customer specifications and requirements are properly identified and validated.
  • Initiate and manage customer service communications related to quality concerns, including responding to customer inquiries, documenting issues, coordinating investigations, and communicating corrective actions and resolutions.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned and required.
Qualifications:
  • Accurately work with calipers, squares, gauges, protractors, and other measuring tools.
  • Have good math ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications efficiently.
  • Experience with PPAP requirements, dimensional inspections, and blueprint ballooning/bubbling preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with customers regarding quality-related concerns.
