We are seeking an Associate HR Business Partner to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office.

Job Summary

The Associate Human Resources Business Partner partners with HR Business Partners and business leaders to support the execution of people strategies across assigned business groups. This role provides day-to-day HR partnership while developing business acumen and consultative skills in areas including employee relations, talent management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and employee engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build an understanding of assigned business units, organizational priorities, and business objectives to provide effective HR support and recommendations.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for managers and employees by providing guidance on HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and employee development.
  • Provide coaching and consultative guidance to front-line managers on employee performance, engagement, development, and workplace matters.
  • Partner with business leaders and HR colleagues to support employee engagement, culture, recognition, and team-building initiatives that foster an inclusive, high-performing workplace.
  • Help develop and execute on company-wide/office-wide events, gatherings, activities, volunteer opportunities, etc.
  • Support talent management initiatives, including performance reviews, recognition programs, engagement activities, and employee development.
  • Analyze workforce data and HR metrics, identify trends, prepare insights, and support people-related recommendations and decisions.
  • Partner with Recruiting and business leaders to support hiring, onboarding, internal mobility, and employee transitions.
  • Implement HR programs, change initiatives, and organizational projects across assigned business units.
  • Leverage HR technology, reporting tools, automation, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, streamline work, and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Use AI and productivity tools to assist with research, documentation, communications, reporting, knowledge management, and process improvement while maintaining appropriate oversight.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of Human Resources experience in an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR Representative, People Operations, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated interest in developing a career as an HR Business Partner and building business acumen and consultative skills.
  • Foundational understanding of employment practices, employee relations, performance management, and the employee lifecycle.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and establish credibility with employees and managers.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to work with workforce data, recognize trends, and communicate clear observations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, reporting tools, and productivity technologies.
  • Comfort using AI-enabled tools to enhance research, communication, documentation, reporting, and operational efficiency.

This position offers a total compensation range of $85,000.00 to $95,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
