KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our Manitowoc manufacturing facility.
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the strategy and delivery of HR services in the areas of recruitment, performance management, compensation, organizational development, safety, legal compliance, policy and procedure development, and general day to day HR issues.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and support policies and procedures including handbook review and revisions.
- Assist managers with performance management, discipline and team building opportunities ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Develop and oversee strategic employee programs.
- Serve as lead investigator for harassment, discrimination and other claims/complaints.
- Manage leave of absences and accommodation requests.
- Coordinate employee recognition efforts including budgeting and administration.
- Develop and coordinate performance review process.
- Coach and council technicians, coordinators and managers as needed.
- Strategize and coordinate the recruitment of office and plant staff.
- Coordinate sourcing of candidates including advertising, job fairs and educational relationships.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions that accurately depict the essential functions, knowledge and strategy of the organization.
- Develop and coordinate safety initiatives including awareness, compliance, incentives and enforcement.
- Provide case management for worker's compensation and return to work programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regarding polices, training and recordkeeping.
- Forecast needs of facility and employee career development.
- Schedule and/or conduct various training sessions throughout the year.
- Maintain knowledge on Affirmative Action and EEO laws and regulations.
- Develop and manage the plant compensation program.
- Obtain market salary data and review internal equity to ensure plant technician wages remain competitive.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Two years+ of Human Resources and/or leadership experience with proven progressive responsibilities.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification(s) preferred.
- Spanish language skills preferred.
