SRCTec, LLCis currently seeking a Sr. Manager, Advanced Manufacturing. The primary role of this position is to lead a team of manufacturing professionals responsible for assembly and test process development, product launch in the factory, and the integration of new products into existing manufacturing lines. This role supports both new products and legacy manufacturing processes. Work is performed by a centralized manufacturing-focused team where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative is exercised as well as a high level of independent judgment. The role requires strong technical knowledge as this person will serve as the technical advisor for their team and the manufacturing organization.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with SRC (R&D) and SRCTec (Manufacturing) engineering teams to influence early design decisions and ensure manufacturing and test considerations are incorporated.
  • Lead an Engineering group of Manufacturing, Test, and Project Leads engaged in developing manufacturing processes, equipment / tooling alternatives,sequenceand flow of operations for the effective use of production personnel, material, machines, and facilities necessary to manufacture and test complex electronic systems.
  • Provide guidance to product development teamsregardingproduct and manufacturing requirements during the product development process, assuring product manufacturability, testability, reliability, test coverage, etc. for manufacturing operations.
  • Support new product launches with respect to the development and deployment of manufacturing systems, including all levels of manufacturing test.
  • Manage technical projects andbe responsible fordeliverables, scope, schedule, and budget and successful hand-off to the manufacturing organizations.
  • Support development cost estimates for new manufacturing, assembly, and test processes.
  • Be accountable to project execution from concept through launch in the factory and support the turnover to the production engineering team. Responsible for project timing, major milestones, budget, and other key metrics.
  • Support Production Engineering on major product changes and manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Identifyand implement opportunities related tostandards, strategies, and best practices asrequired.
  • Leads a team which produces Manufacturing Test Data Strategies and correlates collected data; recognizes discrepancies in results, investigates problems,identifiesoptimalsolutionsand makes preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
  • Develops critical relationships andestablishesways of working with cross-divisional and cross-functional teams and members both at SRCTec and across the SRC Enterprise.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and development to engineering and manufacturing team members.
  • Conduct trade studies and technology assessments to evaluate new equipment, processes, and capabilities, providing recommendations based on technical merits, ROI, and alignment with strategic goals.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 15+ years or related experience, including 3+ years management experience.
  • In-depth experience with electronics systems design, development, and launch into a production environment.
  • Proficient at executing and leading manufacturing capability development projects involving printed circuit board assemblies, electro-mechanical subassemblies, and functional test equipment in a lean environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Lean-Six Sigma /DfXas it applies to improving the safety, quality, delivery, and cost capabilities in a high-mix, low volume manufacturing organization.
  • Adept at leading a team of peers to solve challenging manufacturing capability development issues related to technology, schedule, and cost.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with an ability to effectively engage and collaborate with teams, stakeholders, and leadership across the enterprise.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $153,300 to $157,400 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
