Description Material Handler (356401) Schedule: FTE 1.0, Variable This position is responsible for maintaining inventory controls for surgical and interventional supplies and materials. Works with Supply Chain (MSC) Supervisor, Specialty Charge RNs, and clinicians to manage, adjust, and implement supply par and bin location changes for new and existing supplies. Coordinates materials activities to meet the ongoing needs of clinicians in a procedural/interventional area. Analyzes supply trends and workflows to facilitate product changes to meet changes in demand. Facilitates cost containment efforts, product standardization, inventory control practices, space utilization, and data management. Works with Supply Chain (MSC) Supervisor to implement and evaluate new products approved through the Value Analysis process. Manages data integrity related to Obsolete MMIS (Materials Management Information Systems) Supply Chain, Pyxis Supply Management Systems, and Epic. Facilitates charge capture audits related to implant management and tissue tracking. Evaluates the procedures schedule to identify and resolve supply related issues. Facilitates the delivery of non-stock supplies to support procedures in the interventional areas. Coordinates all supply add, change, and delete requests. Trains staff in material management and inventory control activities, and requisitioning procedures. Direct responsibility for daily operations of all supply and management activities. Works in conjunction with OR Inventory Control Coordinator and leads to maintain daily departmental operations.
