Job Description

The Lifecycle Engagement Manager plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the Student Engagement Platform, overseeing the Referral Program, WGU Store, and leading personnel in the Lifecycle Engagement Team. Primary responsibilities include coordinating with cross-departmental teams, designing and implementing campaigns, managing budgets, and ensuring a cohesive brand experience.

As Manager, Lifecycle Engagement, you will drive organic growth by designing and executing innovative strategies that amplify and convert student and alumni passion for WGU's mission into organic enrollment growth and loyalty. You will lead high-visibility programs including referral campaigns, ORM campaigns, student engagement initiatives, and WGU Store ecommerce campaigns, ensuring every touchpoint strengthens brand sentiment, student advocacy, referral and GEO/SEO.

What You'll Do
  • Design and implement (primarily) digitally oriented campaigns to increase student and alumni engagement and participation across the student lifecycle
  • Partner with internal teams to create targeted campaigns and incentives to drive key KPIs: referral, GEO/SEO, branded merch revenue
  • Develop and execute referral programs that drive prospective student referrals
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize the referral platform, including tracking performance and managing referral reward payouts
  • Lead strategy and execution of WGU Store campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and mission
  • Manage vendor relationships, merchandise selection, and inventory for store and student welcome gift programs
  • Oversee multi-million-dollar budgets related to referral awards and student welcome gift programs, ensuring effective allocation and ROI
  • Partner with Analytics to understand the impact of referrals vis a vis enrollment goals and the MMM
What's Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of experience in Growth, SEO, Ecommerce or CRM
  • 2 or more years of experience leading a team or managing people
What You'll Bring
  • Experience designing and executing revenue driving marketing campaigns, CRM, or referral programs
  • Strong budget management experience with responsibility for tracking spend and outcomes
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders and influence cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience working with technology platforms, integrations, or campaign tools
  • Strong prioritization ability to determine which campaigns and/or initiatives are most critical to achieve KPIs
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead change management efforts
Bonus Points
  • Experience in higher education or mission-driven organizations
  • Experience with organic growth tactics, merchandising, e-commerce
  • Experience using change management frameworks such as ADKAR

Work Location

This is a full-time, in-office position requiring five days per week in our Salt Lake City, UT office, designed to foster the collaboration and connection that fuel our best work.
