Additional tasks may focus around antibody-based immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining of human tissue biopsies and digital archival of IHC data. Experience with the above methods and instrumentation is desirable along with some working experience with SQL database management and network engineering. The incumbent will also contribute to laboratory management tasks, including ordering laboratory consumables and training students or staff.

Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities, and do not have formal teaching responsibilities. Appointees will also be expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions, and may participate in University and Public Service. Screening of applicants will begin immediately and will continue as needed throughout the recruitment period.
