Our Business Development & Marketing team plays a critical role in enhancing the Firm's reputation, expanding its client base and driving revenue growth. This team develops and implements strategic marketing plans to promote the Firm's legal services, leveraging digital and traditional marketing channels to reach target audiences. They conduct market research to identify industry trends and client needs, positioning the Firm competitively within the legal marketplace. The team also manages client relationships, orchestrates business development initiatives, and seeks opportunities for partnerships and networking. Through compelling content creation, event planning and public relations efforts, they ensure that the Firm maintains a strong market presence and continues to attract and retain clients.

The Senior Advisor, Business Operations provides professional support and guidance within the team on a wide range of Business Operations matters, including service delivery, operational performance and data analysis. The incumbent will collaborate with teams within the Firm to provide timely resolutions in topics such as HR, Marketing and Finance Operations, whilst ensuring alignment with business objectives and standards of operational excellence.

The roles and responsibilities of this job include:

  • Collaborates with the team and business leaders across the Firm to provide specialist advice and support on Business Operations matters, such as operational enhancements and efficiencies

  • Participates in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of operational projects and initiatives to drive operational excellence

  • Oversees the creation of Business Operations reports, presentations and reviews for internal stakeholders and Business Operations leadership to boost the effectiveness of Business Operation's initiatives and projects

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to analyse operations, such as the impact of a new system, in areas such as Finance, Marketing and People to inform the design and development of optimisation projects and innovative solutions to enhance business operations

  • Assists the team with regular reviews of operational processes and procedures in People, Marketing and Finance to ensure accuracy, efficacy, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards

  • Stays informed of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in Business Operations and its related disciplines, proactively identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation to senior leaders

  • Supervisors at this level will lead a team of junior professionals and/or coordinators, delegating and facilitating the work of others within established procedures and practices

  • Individual contributors at this level will coordinate and review work within the team, providing guidance to less experienced members

  • Providing professional support to the development of innovative solutions to complex problems and operational challenges

  • Specialist - level knowledge in own discipline and good knowledge of other related disciplines

  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently conduct detailed analysis, investigate issues and identify solutions, seeking guidance only on atypical or complex issues

  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with team members and occasionally external stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience and relevant professional certification/qualification where appropriate to the discipline
