About This Role

The School of Health Sciences, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is looking to hire a Clinical Program Coordinator to join their Physician Assistant (PA) Program. This position will assist the PA Program's Clinical Director with the administrative aspects of planning and coordinating the clinical phase of the PA Program, helping to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies. The Clinical Program Coordinator will provide evaluation and preceptor support to the clinical team and will support communication efforts with clinical sites, preceptors, healthcare facilities, health system partners, etc. This position will report to the Clinical Director.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:



  • Work with Clinical Director to coordinate student placement at clinical sites, to include managing scheduling logistics to ensure equitable distribution of rotations and compliance with program requirements
  • Communicate rotation assignments and requirements, onboarding deadlines, expectations, and documentation requirements to students in a timely manner
  • Track student progression through the clinical phase and maintain accurate placement records
  • Serve as a resource for students regarding clinical placement questions, site requirements, and clinical phase processes
  • Serve as primary contact for clinical sites, preceptors, healthcare facilities, and health system partners
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date database of clinical sites, preceptor credentials, site requirements, and rotation availability, in coordination with HHS Accreditation Coordinator
  • Monitor student and preceptor completion of required compliance documents (immunizations, background checks, drug screenings, HIPAA training, OSHA training, BLS certifications, etc.)
  • Develop and deliver preceptor development resources, including orientation modules, feedback guides, and continuing education opportunities in conjunction with the Clinical Director
  • Administer end-of-rotation evaluations for students, preceptors, and clinical sites, reporting findings to Clinical Director and faculty
  • Prepare and present reports on clinical phase metrics, to include placement rates, preceptor availability, preceptor satisfaction, and student performance trends

What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Five years of relevant experience

    • Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education




Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of administrative experience in a medical/healthcare setting or health professions school
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Self-starter that works well with little supervision
  • Ability to multitask, gather data, and prepare reports
  • Knowledge of configuration and use of computerized database programs
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of populations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
