Coordinator - University Honors Program JOB SUMMARY Learn more about the Honors Program here: Saint Louis University Honors Program CHARACTERISTIC JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Program Development and Coordination: The program coordinator has responsibility for developing and producing co-curricular experiences for first-year students that support the four Foundations in Honors, including Honors Orientation each fall. These programs may leverage partnerships with campus and community partners.The coordinator also develops an out-of-class wellness program each semester for all Honors students. Additionally, the program coordinator takes point in producing the annual Alpha Sigma Nu induction ceremony and Honors Senior Celebration. The program coordinator collaborates with and coordinates programming for the Honors Learning Community in partnership with Housing and Residence Life, contributing programs for the learning community Doctrina portfolio. Honors Student Groups: The program coordinator oversees the PATH Mentors, the peer mentoring and ambassadorial group that connects first-year students to upperclassmen and also provides informal group advising and admissions/recruitment support. The program coordinator tracks participation in PATH and Honors Program events, provides monthly professional and personal development opportunities for the mentors, and meets with mentors one-on-one each semester. The program coordinator also supports the programming logistics of the Honors Student Association, a registered club with Student Government Association, that seeks to build community by producing educational and social programming. Other Program Support: The program coordinator offers support at admissions events, group advising sessions and informational programs, and aids in implementing the experiential learning curriculum in the Honors Program. The coordinator may also review applications for admission, undergraduate research funds, or other Honors opportunities. These areas are largely managed by the Honors Program director, assistant director, and program manager. is document's style and format may be affected by file conversion. Office Administration: The program coordinator is responsible for managing vital administration functions including, but not limited to, purchase reconciliations, supply and food ordering, room reservations, and website maintenance. Teaching: The University Honors Program offers teaching opportunities in the Honors curriculum and offers Honors sections of Core courses like CORE 1500 and VITAS. Some teaching opportunities may come with stipends. The opportunity to teach is contingent upon the possession of a master's degree at minimum. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS In-Person/Remote Work Schedule Expectations: This position will require the individualtowork primarily in the office, with the potential to work a hybrid schedule, up to one day per week remote, upon completion of six (6) months of onsite training and familiarizationwith department work and operations in compliance with the requirements of the SLURemoteStaff Flexible Work Policy. Office Location: Verhaegen Hall at Saint Louis University's vibrant Midtown campus.
