Description

The Senior Operations Maintenance Analyst (Sr. OMA) will coordinate maintenance and operations activities at Liberty Paper in the Paper Production area and maintain an efficient and effective partnership between Operations and Maintenance. The Sr. OMA will maintain a safe work environment by coordinating life safety management compliance for scheduled activities, prioritizing safety work orders, leading safety work notification review meetings, and ensuring safety work orders are completed in a timely manner. Shutdown coordination, execution and accountability will be a focus of this position. This position will report to the Maintenance and Reliability Manager, with a dotted line to the Paper Machine Production Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operations/Maintenance priority setter
  • Coordinate priorities between maintenance & operations (Work Order Backlog)
    • Shutdown Coordinator priorities come from HSG feedback, superintendents, other
    • Works with planners to create Gantt Chart for all outage activity, including the controlling path.
  • Normal work priority setting
    • Host the weekly operations/maintenance priority and planning meeting
    • Non-scheduled emergency repair and break in work priorities
  • Home station group feedback will assist the Sr. OMA with prioritization.
  • Coordinator of Life Safety Management Compliance (LOTO, Confined Space, Working from Heights)
  • Participate in equipment Root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and assist with implementing corrective actions
  • Establish and maintain an atmosphere of open communication at all levels
  • Proven commitment to all mill safety policies and procedures
  • Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in pulp/paper science, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering (or a related field) with 3+ years of related paper, operational, or manufacturing/industrial experience) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong LOTO, Confined Space, Working at Heights knowledge
  • Strong understanding of planning and scheduling techniques
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong group facilitation and presentation skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills (i.e., honesty, leadership, decision making, conflict resolution, developing and maintaining positive relationships)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project or other project management software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point)

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Previous Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Safety certifications
  • Papermill experience highly preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

The starting base salary range for this position is $88,226 - $110,282 per year plus eligibility in annual bonus program. The compensation posted is the anticipated pay for the position at the time of the posting. We may pay above or below posted amount based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and/or certifications, skills, experience, or work location. Some positions may qualify for additional compensation in the form of bonuses or deferred compensation options.
