Overview
The Director of Global Treasury is responsible for leading and optimizing the company's global treasury function across a complex, multi-currency environment. This role oversees liquidity management, global cash visibility, forecasting, credit and financial risk management, and global banking operations. The position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring efficient cash utilization, strengthening banking relationships, and enhancing treasury infrastructure, controls, and processes. The Director of Global Treasury partners closely with senior finance leadership to support strategic decision-making, drive operational efficiency, and enable scalable growth across global operations.
Responsibilities
Global Liquidity & Cash Flow Management:
* Oversee daily global cash positioning across all regions, currencies, and operating entities.
* Lead short and long-term cash forecasting, incorporating key drivers (seasonality, fuel costs, and freight volume fluctuations).
* Manage global cash pooling, ZBA, and liquidity structures across global operations to ensure efficient cash concentration.
* Lead cash repatriation activities across AIT subsidiaries in alignment with liquidity needs.
* Lead and oversee cash pooling initiatives, ensuring appropriate structure and ongoing monitoring.
* Establish and maintain global banking policies and procedures related to global bank account opening, closing, and maintenance.
- Credit Management:
* Manage the company's debt portfolio, including revolving credit facilities and term loans. * Support borrowing activities, partner closely with EVP and senior finance leadership to support borrowing decisions, optimizing financing structures, and maintain strong lender relationships. * Oversee AIT and its subsidiaries surety bonds, letters of credit (LOC), and bank guarantee programs, ensuring accurate tracking and documentation. * Lead initiatives to optimize the use of financial instruments by converting restricted cash to LOC structures in partnership with global banking partners. * Ensure timely renewal, amendment, and administration of all debt, LOC and guarantee programs. - Banking & Global Payments Infrastructure:
* Manage relationships with global, regional, and local banking partners. * Maintain and optimize global bank account structures, payment platforms. * Improve cash visibility across entities and regions. * Drive initiative to transition global subsidiaries into single banking provider. * Drive payment efficiency initiatives, including automation and cost reductions. * Ensure strong governance over account signors, admins and account access, signatories, and fraud prevention controls. * Establish and maintain global treasury procedures and controls. - Treasury Operations & Controls:
* Oversee treasury operations across North America and Canada, including payments, cash management, and banking activities. * Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements. * Strengthen fraud prevention measures, particularly in high-volume payment environments. * Drive automation, digitization, and continuous improvement in treasury processes. - Strategic Business Partnership:
* Partner with CFO, EVP, finance, operations, procurement, and commercial teams to support business objectives. * Support M&A, including due diligence and integration of treasury processes. - Team Leadership:
* Lead and develop a global treasury team, including Treasury Manager * Establish clear governance, performance metrics, and development plans. * Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration. - Performs other duties as assigned

- The wage range for this position is $161,340.00-$242,000.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
Qualifications
Education * Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (required) * Master's Degree (preferred)
Experience * 10+ years of treasury, corporate finance, or banking experience, at managerial level (required) * Must have a proven track record managing global treasury operations in a multi-currency environment (required) * Work experience with treasury management systems (TMS), ERP systems, and payment platforms. (required) * Work experience in logistics, transportation, freight, enviroment strongly (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * FX and interest rate risk management and Intercompany Netting/Clearing programs. Licenses and Certifications * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - (preferred) * Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) - (preferred) * Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)-AFP - (preferred)
