What You Will Do:
GFT is seeking a Sr. Manager, Financial Operations to join our Project Financial Operations (PFO) team in Ft. Worth, TX! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at ourFt. Worthoffice. What you'll be challenged to do: As a Senior Manager, Financial Operations, you will provide strategic leadership, governance, and operational oversight for the Project Financial Operations (PFO) organization. This role is accountable for setting the vision and direction for financial operations, ensuring consistent financial practices, standardized processes, and high-quality reporting across all business groups, regions, and functions. Partnering closely with executive leadership, Finance, and Operations, the Senior Manager ensures financial operations enable business growth, improve efficiency, and strengthen accountability. This position drives enterprise-level initiatives that enhance financial insight, optimize systems and processes, and develop high-performing financial operations teams. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Lead Financial Process Optimization Initiatives
- Develop and execute strategies to streamline project setup, contract administration, billing, collections, and revenue recognition processes to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
- Drive Automation and Systems Enhancements
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and IT teams to identify, implement, and optimize automation solutions, workflows, and ERP system capabilities that reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy.
- Improve Cash Flow and Reduce DSO
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to invoicing, collections, unbilled revenue, and accounts receivable, driving initiatives that accelerate cash conversion and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Standardize Project Financial Operations
- Design and implement consistent project accounting, project setup, billing, and revenue recognition practices across the organization, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry best practices.
- Partner with Project and Operational Leaders
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Business Unit Leaders, and Finance leadership to improve project financial visibility, forecasting accuracy, contract compliance, and overall project profitability.
- Lead Continuous Improvement and Change Management
- Champion process improvement initiatives, facilitate organizational change, and promote adoption of new technologies, workflows, and best practices across the project lifecycle.
- Ensure Financial Compliance and Controls
- Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with applicable accounting standards, including ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements, while supporting audit and governance activities.
- Develop and Lead High-Performing Teams
- Build, mentor, and develop financial operations and project accounting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, customer service, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Education | Experience:
What you will bring to our firm:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
- 12+ years of progressive financial experience, including leadership of multi-level teams and cross-functional financial operations.
- Demonstrated success in developing financial strategy, governance, and process transformation at an enterprise level.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational change.
- Deep understanding of financial systems, reporting standards, and business performance management.
- Advanced understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and performance metrics.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence across functional teams.

Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $155,000 - $168,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
