This role will define, develop, configure, test, train and support business-related IT systems and applications. You will lead projects that will enable business improvements and perform critical analysis by developing solutions using standard programming practices and protocols to fulfill approved requirements.

You will also collaborate with other Technical Analysts, Senior Technical Developers, and end users as you work together to establish a world class industrial manufacturing environment.

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

Develop and support applications and hardware in an office and manufacturing environment. Configure and troubleshoot all types of hardware used throughout a $600m business. Train and assist users as required. Responsible for supporting and applying current technology standards to satisfy customer requirements or solve business related issues.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential
  1. Analyze and resolve IT issues reported from more than 1500 internal users/customers across 8 locations via a ServiceNow ticketing system.

  2. Support and adhere to Parker's Code of Ethics, ISO requirements, policies, and procedures.

  3. At times write SQL queries to assist in the correction of issues or report building when needed by the business.

  4. Working experience with Zebra label printers. Using ZPL or willingness to learn is key.

  5. Experience with BarTender or Loftware labeling technologies would be a plus.

  6. Project management experience or a PMP certification would be a plus.

  7. Interpret user complaints and needs and quickly work to permanently resolve.

  8. Communicate openly and honestly with respect and a professional tone working to resolve up to 50 service tickets each month depending on complexity.

  9. Learn custom and packaged applications, modify or adapt configurations and devise the most feasible and economical methods to deploy and support IT systems at all division locations.

  10. Analyze procedures, determine errors in logic, and make recommendations how to proceed and then perform the fixes and ensure the enhancements or issues are truly implemented/resolved.

  11. Document established procedures for future reference. Keep the IT Wiki up to date with current desk instructions.

  12. Train and assist users as needed. IT is expected to be an expert in all things.

  13. Set up new laptops and troubleshoot pcs, printers, and scan gun issues throughout the organization.

  14. Manage incoming tickets (ServiceNow). Keep active and assigned tickets to a minimum. Work with the customer to resolve issues to their satisfaction.

  15. Be a self-starter and take initiative to contact individuals concerning reported issues and assigned projects.

  16. Think in logical terms and break down large issues into manageable pieces. Then systematically resolve each identified piece.

  17. Be willing to be uncomfortable in not knowing a solution but able to research and find needed answers. Then go and resolve the issue.

  18. Review existing and new programs and revise or refine for most effective operation.



Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential functions satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: Bachelors degree (4 year) from college or university and a minimum of one year of related experience or a combination of experience and education. Two-year degree will be considered with significant experience and PMP and A+ or Network+ certifications.

Language Skills: Ability to communicate efficiently, read, analyze, and interpret general business topics, periodicals and technical procedures. Need to be able to understand computer program logic and general documentation. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of the organization. Maintain good working relationships with department associates, supervisors and managers.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Any industry relevant certificates such as Comptia A+, PMP, SQL, etc. is an added benefit.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical and analytical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate various pieces of office equipment. Requires the internal working knowledge of all types of IT hardware. Being a quick study and having the ability to move forward with only partial information. But then be willing to pivot if necessary when additional information becomes available.
