The role designs, documents, and maintains standardized operational workflows that translate Medical Group strategy and product direction into clear, repeatable ways of working. This role partners closely with Product Management, Clinical Optimization, Education, and Operations Analytics to ensure workflows are scalable, practical, and aligned to desired outcomes.
The role focuses on how work should be done, not project delivery or system build, and plays a critical role in reducing variation, improving efficiency, and enabling sustained performance across Medical Group operations.

Essential Job Function:

Standard Work & Workflow Design:

  • Design and document future-state workflows aligned to Medical Group strategy and product outcomes.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, handoffs, and decision points across clinical and operational processes.
  • Develop and maintain standard work, process maps, and operating models.

Translation of Strategy to Operations:

  • Partner with Product Managers to translate product direction into executable operational designs.
  • Ensure workflows support clinical quality, access, efficiency, and financial performance goals.
  • Balance standardization with appropriate operational flexibility.

Operational Improvement & Sustainment:

  • Identify process variation, inefficiencies, and failure points.
  • Partner with Clinical Optimization, Education, and Implementation to refine workflows based on real-world use.
  • Support continuous improvement through iterative process refinement.

Collaboration & Enablement:

  • Support education and enablement teams with clear process documentation.
  • Partner with Operations Analysts to align workflows to performance measures.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for operational design across assigned domains.

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Industrial/Management Engineering, Operations, or a related field and or equivalent training and experience.

Experience:

  • Required: Minimum of 5 years work experience in healthcare operations, clinical workflows, analytics, product management.
  • Demonstrated experience designing workflows and standard work in clinical or operational settings.
  • Strong facilitation, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • A Bachelor's Degree may substitute for up to 3 years of experience.
  • Experience working in ambulatory or medical group environments, preferred experience.

Licensure / Certification:

  • Lean or process improvement certification preferred but not required.
