Role Objective

Responsible for the execution of product and process improvement projects, product quality resolution, product scale-up, process troubleshooting, new equipment installation/testing, development and implementation of innovative and competitive product designs, materials, systems, and processes, as well as process validation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provides day to day engineering support to molding, blow molding, QC, automation and tooling as required to meet business goals.
  • Provides engineering support on long-term manufacturing and quality initiatives.
  • Documents and maintains up to date component and assembly specications.
  • Contributes to product design and establishment of product requirements.
  • Designs and develops components for new or existing products.
  • Species, designs, obtains and installs new or redesigned equipment and processes that meet or exceeds GOJO and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates and provides excellent communication with various GOJO individuals/teams such as production, maintenance and other engineering groups.
  • Practices Project Management skills of team development, time and resource planning, and execution.
  • Supports and improves Supply Chain Engineering activities.
  • Manages to completion projects including those that require coordination of multiple technical disciplines with Supply Chain, R&D, and Sales and Marketing groups.
  • Transfers new technology to relevant groups, through the development and use of training materials, operating specications, instructions and start up support.
  • Coordinates and facilitates new product introduction with R&D, Total Solutions Management, and Supply Chain in GOJO facilities and/or at contract manufacturers.
  • Adheres to department procedures and/or work processes as required.
  • Participates or leads line trials of new components or automation.
  • Documents projects and equipment or process modications. Assure documentation is maintained.
  • Collaborates across enterprise with functional groups to achieve optimum business results.

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS preferred in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Packaging or Plastics Engineering. In lieu of degree, minimum ten (10) years' relevant work experience required.
  • Minimum three years' relevant work experience required.
  • Experience with Creo or SOLIDWORKS strongly desired.


Supervision/Coordination

Coordinates project teams and project resources. Supervision as required of contract personnel and GOJO team members in maintenance, engineering and various Supply Chain groups.

Travel Requirements
Overnight Travel - sporadic - required.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected starting pay for this role is between 76,200.00 - 104,800.00 per year. Within this range, an offer will depend on factors such as level of experience and technical competencies relevant to this specific role, as well as internal equity considerations.
