Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Department: Engineering, Architecture and Manufacturing Laboratory Assistant - HV-CS-9676 RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have been legal residents of New York State for at least FOUR months immediately preceding the date of the test. Pursuant to subdivision 4a of Sec. 23 of the Civil Service Law, preference may be given to successful candidates who have been legal residents of the municipality to which the appointment is to be made for at least FOUR months preceding the date of the written test. * Orders, maintains, and controls inventory of laboratory supplies. * Issues lab equipment and supplies to faculty and students, and assists in services for student model making. * Prepares and maintains a variety of related records and reports necessary for the department within the labs. * Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs to laboratory equipment. * Maintains the cleanliness of laboratories, storage areas, and equipment. * Performs related tasks as required. This is a full-time 12-month, 40-hour work week position with an hourly rate of $24.90. Start date is immediate. | |
