Consumers Energy is Michigan's largest energy provider, providing natural gas and/or electricity to 6.8 million of the state's 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties. Location:This position is onsite at the Parnall Office located in Jackson, Michgian. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify). Retention Policy:Due to extensive training and OQ processes, the selected candidate will have a 36month retention period from the start date before being eligible to apply for positions outside of Gas Control. GENERAL SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Associate Gas Controller has operational authority to dispatch supply and make the necessary operational decisions to maintain safe and excellent operations for Consumers Energy Natural Gas customers. The incumbent must be able to develop lowcomplexity operational plans and execute them by communicating the plan to operational personnel. Analyze basic operational issues and make timely decisions.
